Rob Shaw

Chicago Sports Network
Chief Revenue Officer

Rob Shaw is the chief revenue officer of the Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) where he leads the sales, strategy, research, product, and digital media teams.

Prior to launching CHSN, Shaw was the founder and CEO of Sports Media Innovation Group, where he consulted with sports media and technology companies on how to adapt to a quickly evolving media landscape.

Shaw spent nearly 10 years at Meta, most recently as the director of global sports media partnerships. He brought the Meta family of technologies to sports leagues, teams, broadcast, digital media, real money gaming, and collectibles organizations to reach their business objectives. Goals included expanding audiences, increasing sponsorships and fan activations, e-commerce, and media distribution.

After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in communications, Shaw started his career as sports television anchor in Florida. While in Tallahassee, Shaw launched a fantasy sports website with a weekly show. That experience, which broadened his scope to the marketing and commercial side of the industry, inspired Shaw to earn his MBA at New York University’s Stern School of Business.

After graduating, Shaw worked at Bloomberg Sports. As the vice president of media, he created and expanded a business providing advanced analytics to broadcasters for MLB, NBA, and NFL coverage, many of which have become commonplace in broadcasts today.

Shaw has two boys, Wyatt and Levi, who he is raising as Mets fans with his wife, Jennifer, in Westchester, New York. In the summer of 2023, they were joined by two pugs: Hershey and Reese’s.
