An ESPN veteran for more than two decades, Meg Aronowitz was promoted in Fall 2023 to senior vice president, production. In addition to her continued oversight of the School Control Room (SCR) initiative and NCAA championships, Aronowitz adds senior oversight of ACC Network, SEC Network, and Major League Baseball. She continues to serve as the SVP of men’s college basketball and college softball, while also adding women’s college basketball, college baseball, and Little League baseball and softball to her responsibilities.
Aronowitz has overseen the production of ESPNU college football, volleyball, gymnastics, lacrosse, college baseball, ice hockey, swimming & diving, softball, and track & field events during her tenure at ESPN, as well as playing an integral role in the launch of both SEC Network and ACC Network. 2022 saw Aronowitz receive Sports Business Journal’s esteemed Game Changers honor. The list recognizes female leaders, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers at organizations across sports, shining a light on their impact and accomplishments.
Softball coverage, under the stewardship of Aronowitz since 2005, has expanded from every game live at the WCWS to now include hundreds of regular-season games, conference tournaments, and every game of NCAA Division I Regionals and Super Regionals.
Aronowitz started at ESPN in 2001 as an assignment editor for Major League Baseball and was promoted to senior production coordinator in 2005. As the senior production coordinator, Aronowitz played a key role in the management of MLB, the Baseball College World Series, and the Little League World Series.
Prior to ESPN, Aronowitz worked at the news desk at CNN in Atlanta, GA. She played softball at Emory University and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
