As the senior vice president for the Americas at Magnifi, Ken Ruck oversees and drives all commercial efforts across the region. His immediate goal is to rapidly scale sales in the Americas, with a long-term vision of establishing Magnifi.AI as the leading sports AI production company in the region.
Ruck believes the time for artificial intelligence in sports media is now. With the live sports video contribution problem largely solved, Ken sees a significant opportunity to expand distribution to a wider audience, particularly as more viewers, especially younger ones, consume sports content on social media rather than traditional TV. Magnifi’s focus on addressing the needs of this audience, along with its ability to solve challenges in the growing Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) market, aligns perfectly with Ruck’s vision for the future of sports media.
Ruck is a seasoned expert with over 22 years in the technology and live sports industry, specializing in selling complex tech solutions, scaling channel partnerships with major cloud providers, and building go-to-market teams. As executive VP of sales and commercial operations at Videon, he played a key role in advancing edge computing within the global sports market. Before Videon, Ruck was pivotal in scaling Amazon Live to $500 million in annual revenue. His career also includes leadership roles at startups like Linus ASX and Flash Networks, and influential positions at major media companies such as Viacom, Turner, and Kodak.
Ruck lives in Brooklyn, NY with his family. Both of his kids are elite players in tournament baseball and softball with Ruck serving as driver and manning GameChanger for all their games. When not at the field, Ruck can often be found on the Brooklyn waterfront with his BFF and constant companion Boomer, the greatest Portuguese water dog in the world.
