Christine Franklin is executive vice president of marketing at Octagon. In her role, Franklin leads a global team responsible for developing and implementing sponsorship marketing, event marketing, and integrated strategy for a collection of Fortune 500 clients, including Mastercard, AB InBev, BMW, and many others.

During her more than two-decade tenure at Octagon, Franklin has played an integral role in the growth of the agency, and has overseen the design and execution of a comprehensive list of global sponsorship campaigns for major brands activating around the world’s largest sports, lifestyle, and entertainment properties including FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, The Open Championship, MLB All-Star Game, PGA TOUR, and the GRAMMY Awards.

Franklin is also a passionate advocate for supporting important causes, and has helped shape and guide campaigns benefitting non-profit organizations including Komen for the Cure, StandUp2Cancer, and Share our Strength.

In addition, Franklin serves on a number of industry boards and committees creating meaningful impact across the sports world. She currently serves as a member of the Sports Innovation Lab Women’s Leadership Board. Additionally, Franklin served as chair of the Advancement Committee on the USA Field Hockey Board of Directors from 2004-2008.

Franklin has earned a collection of industry awards throughout her career, including being named to Sports Business Journal’s 2023 “Game Changers” class, as well as being selected as a 2021 honoree of Chief Marketer’s Top Women in Marketing list.

Franklin is a graduate of UMASS Amherst, with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. During her time at UMASS, she was a four-year letter winner on the UMASS field hockey team. Franklin also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut.
